The Mixed Hallowe'en / Oktoberfest Party will be held on 31 Oct 08 at 1800 Hrs. Food will be laid on (sausages and snacks). Everyone is encouraged to dress Up - prizes will be given based on categories such as Best Costume and Most Original. If anyone has a favorite horror flick, you are encouraged to bring it in to watch.

The annual chili cook off will occur on Monday, 10 Nov 08 at 1300 Hrs. Helpers to assist with the preparation are welcome. Chili will be available after the Remembrance Day Parade to mess members. Extra beverage tickets will be will given to the chili making helpers.

The Grey Cup Party will be held on Sunday, 23 Nov 08, at 1400 Hrs. Flag football will be played in the backyard. The mess will lay on food. Kick off is 1800 Hrs EST. There will be a Grey Cup pool - see the rules and the board in the mess for more details.

The Truro Garrison Men's Christmas Dinner will be held on Saturday 20 December 2008. Time is 1800 Hrs (for 1830). Dress is business casual - no jeans. Door prizes will be drawn. Non-perishable food donations for the Colchester Food Bank will be accepted. Functions signs will be posted with further details.

The Truro Mess hosts a levee from on Tuesday, 1 Jan 09, at 1200 Hrs until 1400 Hrs. Moose Milk is available at no cost to members and guests. Dress is number 1A DEU.

It is anticipated to be held on Thursday, 22 Jan 09. It is usually held sometime near 25 January. Exact date observed by the unit TBA. Haggis and scotch will be served. Further details to be announced.

The Super Bowl Party will be held on Sunday, 1 Feb 08. Time TBA. The mess will lay on food and there will be a Super Bowl Pool - details to be announced.

The Thursday before Good Friday is usually a night with a lot of socializing in the mess after training is done for the night (since the next day is a holiday for most). Food is usually laid on, either pizza or something grilled on the BBQ.

The annual June Steak & Lobster Dinner will be held on the first or second Saturday in Jun 09. Time will be 1800 Hrs. The cost will probably be $5 per person, which will entitle you to a steak and a lobster. Various salads and other fixings will be served as well. There will be day time activities planned such as paint ball, softball, golf, etc. Further details to be announced.

The annual corn boil will be held on the first Saturday of September 2008, Time - 1400. It is to welcome back everyone who was away for summer tasking. Cost - FREE.
